My series, “I love you, now”, speaks to a framework of loss that has long engulfed my perception of love, initiated by my relocation across the country midway during adolescence, leaving behind the familiarity of my only home. This marked my initial encounter with the erosive forces of distance and time upon relationships I had meticulously molded over what felt like an eternity. These connections, etched into my consciousness with intimate knowledge of their curves and edges, began to undergo a transformation.

Depression met me across the country with its peculiar ways of weaving grief into the fabric of happiness, prodding me to remember that the present moment is fleeting, people aren’t constants, and that it’s futile to resist change.
In the face of these thoughts, and in the face of time’s nature, I strove to preserve the essence of diverse relationships at specific points in time.

The resulting works function as artifacts or evidence of love, physical objects derived from the intangible thing of human connection. The folds and writings on these prints bear my imprint as archeologist, anthropologist, sociologist, observer, human. They record the associations and interactions I share with these artifacts, reflecting on my fluid and evolving perceptions of love. Though these connections may fade, they leave indelible marks upon us.
